Brief History and Background Information
- The salons have been in business over 30 years.
- First Unisex salon in Door County.
- First Salon in Door County to have their work published in Inspire Styling Books.
- First Salon north of Chicago to have the Yuko Hair Straightening System.
- First Salon in Door County to open on Sundays (summer only).
- The most innovative hair designs.
- Owned by Father-Daughter team. Tom Jorns and Kama Duessler.
- Longevity in the staff: Many over 15 years and 5 over 25 years.
- Education and creative design is one of our top priorities. (In January 2007 we sent 9 of our stylists to the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas for three days of training.)
- We have six stylists that are Redken Specialists. (Requires an intense 3-day training session.)
- We have 3 stylists that are Redken Master Specialists. (Requires an intense 5-day training session.)
- We participate in many local benefits, auctions and raffles.
- We started a scholarship fund for future cosmetologists in the names of two former employees whose lives were taken in a car accident. To raise money for the scholarship fund we would open on a Sunday and do haircuts for $10. We now give out one to two scholarships per year.
